OUR STORY
We Built RootPurr Around the Test.
RootPurr was founded in Philadelphia in 2026. Cassava cat litter has the best clumping in plant-based — better than tofu, corn, or wheat. But cassava root naturally contains cyanogenic glycosides, compounds that release hydrogen cyanide when not properly processed. The FAO/WHO food-grade limit is 10 ppm; most cassava-litter brands don't publish their test results at all. So we built our supply chain backwards from the testing: every starch lot we receive is HCN-tested before it touches the line, with a ≤ 5 ppm rejection threshold— half the food-grade limit. The COA ships with every batch.
We also rejected two industry-standard claims you'll see on every competitor's bag: “Flushable” and “100% dust-free.” Cassava clumps are too dense to flush safely; no granular product is ever actuallydust-free. We say what we can prove: 99% dust reduction per ASTM D6940, industrial-compostable packaging, and the test method itself shipped with every batch. Anyone selling on “low-dust” or “all-natural” without a method behind it is hand-waving.

Food-grade cassava starch from certified suppliers in Vietnam and Guangxi. Each shipment ships with a starch-grade COA.

What's the MOQ?+
1× 40HQ FCL (~1,500 cases at 18 lb / case) for custom-printed bags. 50 cases for already-printed RootPurr retail bags. LCL trial orders are possible for first-time buyers with a logistics surcharge.
What's the lead time from PO to FOB-ready?+
30–45 days from artwork sign-off and 50% deposit. Breakdown: 5–7 days raw-material QC and HCN re-testing, 14–21 days pelletizing and packing, 5–7 days printing and palletization, 3–5 days export inspection.
FOB or DDP?+
Both. FOB Tianjin or Shanghai and DDP to your US 3PL are available — pricing is quoted per formula and volume. See the wholesale program for the current rate card. DDP is recommended for first-time importers — we absorb FX, demurrage, and customs-classification risk.
What documentation do you provide?+
Per-batch certificate of analysis, HCN test result for cassava lines, ASTM D6940 dust-test report, HTS classification on the commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading, and fumigation certificate where required.
Can I get a sample?+
Yes. Custom-formula sample bag (1–2 lb) ships in 7–14 days for $35 plus DHL express. Sample fee fully credited toward your first PO. Digital artwork proofs return inside 48 hours for private-label customers.
What payment terms apply?+
First order: 50% T/T deposit, 50% against bill-of-lading copy. Net-30 from your second PO; Net-60 for Tier 3 (500+ cases) buyers. T/T or L/C accepted in USD.
